WordPress Page Write API
Plan evergreen WordPress pages as structured, reviewed site content.
An evergreen page needs a stable role in the site: an explanation, service overview, resource, or contact destination. Do not treat it as a dated blog entry simply because both contain text. Decide its parent relationship, navigation role, and intended layout before connecting an automated draft source.
Keep the page record focused
Specify the title, slug, body, intended parent where relevant, and review state. Confirm the fields supported by your WordPress installation and theme. Keep layout assumptions explicit so imported content does not depend on a template that the destination cannot use.
Preview navigation as well as prose
Inspect the page directly and through the menus that link to it. Check breadcrumbs, headings, and the effect of a long title. Maintain internal identifiers so editing the copy does not accidentally create a second evergreen page with a similar address.
The destination, hierarchy, navigation label, and article body agree. Use draft-first publication and check media independently. The linked post-workflow article is useful for shared review principles, but verify the pages resource before implementing page-specific requests.
