WRITING FORMATS

Blog Post Write API

Turn an individual draft into a well-organized post within a larger publication.

A blog post belongs to an archive, not just a page. Plan its date, category, tags, related reading, and preview image along with its body. These choices help a visitor understand how the article fits into the publication and what to read next.

Write a post record with durable identity

Keep the slug and internal identifier stable through ordinary title edits. Store the excerpt separately so it can introduce the article in cards and feeds without copying a random opening fragment. Pick one useful category and topic-specific tags instead of attaching every available keyword.

Review the post in its surrounding pages

Inspect the article, blog index, category page, and feed entry. Check that the featured image remains legible as a card. A correct body with an inaccurate excerpt still creates a misleading first impression. Make sure related reading expands the topic rather than simply repeating the introduction.

Accept the post when

The date is consistent, its archive links work, its card describes the actual content, and it has a clear path to related guides. A new build should not make an unchanged archive post appear newly published.
