WordPress Blog Post Write API
Create WordPress drafts with intentional media, taxonomy, and release decisions.
A WordPress post integration should deliver something an editor can continue working on. Plan the title, body, excerpt, categories, tags, featured media, and intended state as separate fields. Do not put an entire editorial record into the body just because that is the easiest field to write.
Create one small draft first
Test a heading and a few paragraphs before sending long articles. Save the destination identifier, inspect the editor, and check the preview. Resolve category and media mapping before increasing volume. Keep an internal operation record for uncertain responses.
Protect the editor’s version
Use the saved identifier for updates and define what happens when somebody edits the destination after import. A retry should not create a duplicate; an update should not silently overwrite reviewed changes. Keep authorization outside the public browser bundle.
The correct draft appears in the correct site, with deliberate attribution and working media. Approval should apply to the reviewed content version, not simply to the successful API response.
